Because of their devotion to footie, their lyrics and entitling of songs I am naming Half Man Half Biscuit as the official band of Football and Music.

As I was purchasing some of HMHB’s output I noticed a few of the songs that had a this theme which I now “present”… geddit ? present… below.
– I remember this first one when The Chart Show always Fast Forwarded past it. I think it was because there’s wasn’t a video for it thought.

Next up is a bit of biting commentary (sic) from HMHB about a goalkeeping legend turned presenter, who after his ITV bosses saw him anchoring the Champions League coverage shoved him off to the late night highlights show.

You are deliberately omitting Cammel Lairds Social Club, I assume ;op
Whilst not a top flight team by any stretch of the imagination, they are pushing for promotion from the Unibond First (behind Retford I might add), whilst the HMHB album is regularly brandished by away fans for signings and photo ops.
And what about “Friday Night and the gates are low”, paraphrasing ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” lyric “Friday night and the lights are low”, obviously referencing the start of Tranmere Rovers (beloved team of Nigel Blackwell, lead singer and frontman of HMHB) and their crusading approach to non-Saturday afternoon games NEAR (not on) Merseyside and the inability to compete for attendances with the two main Liverpool teams, Liverpool and, er, Liverpool Reserves (only joking, Blues!), or Everton!
Sumo wrestling is my all time favorite. i always watch it a lot in Japanese channels.
