Taking a break from the football to bring you some music associated with that sports entertainment spectacular known as the Superbowl “World Championship” Final.

Sadly like the FA Cup finalists in the last few years the teams competing in the Superbowl haven’t ventured into the studio, so we have to go back in time with the most famous and memorable Superbowl final song from the 1989 Chicago Bears team.

You remember the Bears. For some reason the coverage about them got to Blighty, but especially about William “The Fridge” Perry. Don’t know why, I think it was because the bloke was huge.

But wait there’s more ! – The Chicago Bears were not the only Superbowl finalist who recorded a single.
Holy Taco.com have 6 rap videos including the Miami Dolphins and the San Francisco 49ers here.

The Miami one is especially to be seen.

- To rescue us from this particular American Footballing hell, I stumbled across this next half-decent track from Iggy Pop:

Iggy the idiot

» Iggy Pop – (American) Football

Sample lyrics: “Life’s a football game/ As every chump and champ knows/ We don’t touch, we collide /Till we’re worn out inside / We’re kicking each other/ Right where it hurts/ Setting up the big play/And trying to score.
